Plant Description
These are great Blueberry Plants for Central States to North Florida. These are mid-chill hour plants with 300-600 hours required which makes them a great mid to late season producer. This is a variety that produces bright pink blueberries and are sweet and very tasty. This is a large blueberry bush that can reach up to six feet tall and at maturity can get over 5 lbs of blueberries. The berries are medium to large and have a beautiful red to orange foliage in the fall.
How to Grow
Most edible plants grow well in Full Sun but a little shade won’t hurt. Blueberry Plants need to be planted in acidic soil/low pH 5.5-6.4. I recommend 60%-80% Pine Mulch/20-40% Peat. As your plant gets bigger you can change the ratio to more Pine Mulch up to 100%. I substitute Peat with Happy Frog Potting Soil. Keep your soil moist and when it is about dried out water again. It may be better to grow your plants in 4 inch to 1 gallon containers for several months until plants are larger before repotting or planting. I recommend an organic regiment with life beneficials, fertilizer, organic fungicide and pest control.
